NE activity - CANCELLED! Important!

The session scheduled from 6 - 10 Mar is CANCELLED! This is due to a delay in the schedule on the side of our external collaborators. As it is expected that work can only be done in late Apr/May, there are some implications for your group's NE projects.

(1) You will need to submit their NE projects as with the rest of the cohort on 17 Apr 2006 (first day of next semester). However you are free to choose any topic of their choice as long as it fits the theme of "Traditional Medicine in Singapore". You are no longer bound by TCM as a theme and can change your previously committed titles if you want to.

(2) Students who are trained by the Botanic Gardens previously are still required to help with the collaboration project with SCDA. These students will be granted attendance in lieu of ALL future NE activities for the work done in Apr/May i.e. they would have fulfilled NE requirements without requiring to attend any more talks or learning journeys. This involvement is COMPULSORY for those who are trained because of the understanding that SCDA has paid for your training.

(3) For the students who are NOT trained by the Botanic Gardens, if you volunteer to help with the work in Apr/May, you will also be given the same concessions i.e. you can also be granted attendance in lieu of all their remaining NE activities. However, this will NOT be compulsory for you.

The time slot for Apr/May SCDA project will be during wed afternoons, free periods or even weekends of your term time.

Doreen, please help me collate the response. (Please note tht for those who have been trained, this commitment is compulsory). Let me know by 10 Mar 2006.
